About me
Scrolling through life with Jesus & Coffee
The idea to start this blog was because I already wrote down all my adventures and stories with God for myself. Sometimes, so many beautiful and special things happen that, if I do not write things down, I tend to forget. And I don’t want to forget what God does in my life!
So I decided to write everything down for myself. Everything I learned, everything God showed me or spoke to me, all the times I fell, and all the times I got back up over the past few years.
Then, one day, as I was writing down everything I had experienced with God after fasting for 21 days, God gave me the idea to share it all with you! Although I am from the Netherlands, God put on my heart to write in English.
I remember how my journey with Jesus began. With childlike trust, I opened my heart to Him, and in the first week, I saw miracles happening! With this blog, I share my stories and adventures with God, my doubts, difficulties, pitfalls, but also my victories.
Our walk with the Lord is the most beautiful thing there is, but it can sometimes be so challenging, and we need each other to build each other up, to encourage each other, and to speak life to each other.
I hope this blog will help you and show you how beautiful life can be when we put Him in the driver’s seat of our lives and dare to take the backseat ourselves! It is a lifelong learning process, but no day with our God is boring!
I hope to encourage you and be a sunshine fort His new day, so let us rejoice today and be glad! – Psalm 118:24
Blessings!
My favorite Bible translations:
I started with “Het Boek”, similar to the English NIV, but now I also like to read the HSV and sometimes even the KJV (when I feel like a challenge).
I often switch between the translations.
Sometimes it is slightly more understandable to read one translation than another.
